EPS Motor Removal and Installation

NOTE: Do not allow dust, dirt, or other foreign materials to enter the steering gearbox.

5. Connectors - Disconnect
NOTE: Wrap the connectors with vinyl tape to avoid contamination from grease or water.
1.
Disconnect the connector (A) by pushing the lock (B), and pulling up the lever (C).

2.
Disconnect the connector (D).
3.
Remove the harness clips (E).

6. EPS Motor - Remove
1.
Remove the EPS motor (A) and the O-ring (B).


NOTE: Do not allow dust, dirt, or other foreign materials to enter the steering gearbox.

1. EPS Motor - Install
1.
Apply steering grease to a new O-ring (A).
2.
Apply steering grease into the EPS motor shaft (B).
3.
Install the O-ring to the EPS motor (C).
4.
Install the EPS motor.

2. Connectors - Connect
1.
Connect the connector (A), then pulling down the lever (B), and confirm the connector is fully seated.

Connect the connector (C)
3.
Install the harness clips (D).
