Engine Oil Pan Removal and Installation
3. A/C Compressor - Move

Disconnect the connector (A) and remove the A/C compressor (B).
NOTE:
Do not disconnect the A/C hoses.
Do not bend the A/C hoses excessively.
Hang the A/C compressor with a wire tie.

6. Engine - Support
1.
Support the engine with a transmission jack and a wood block under the oil pan.

7. Lower Torque Rod - Remove

8. Transmission Jack - Remove


9. Lower Torque Rod Bracket - Remove

10. Torque Converter Case Cover and Transmission Mounting Bolt - Remove

11. Oil Pan - Remove

Loosen the bolts, then using a flat blade screwdriver, separate the oil pan from the lower block in the places shown.

Remove the oil pan.

1. Oil Pan - Install

Apply liquid gasket to the engine block mating surface of the oil pan, and to the inside edge of the threaded bolt holes.

Install the oil pan (A) with a new O-ring (B).
3.
Tighten the bolts in three steps. In the final step, torque all bolts, in sequence, to 12 N·m (1.2 kgf·m, 9 lbf·ft). Wipe off the excess liquid gasket on the each side of crankshaft pulley and drive plate.

2. Torque Converter Case Cover and Transmission Mounting Bolt - Install

3. Lower Torque Rod Bracket - Install

4. Engine - Support
1.
Support the engine with a transmission jack and a wood block under the oil pan.

5. Lower Torque Rod - Loosely Install
1.
Loosely install the lower torque rod (A) using new bolts (B), then go to mount tightening procedure.

7. A/C Compressor - Install
1.
Install the A/C compressor (A).
2.
Connect the connector (B).
