2. Evaporator Temperature Sensor - Remove

Remove the evaporator temperature sensor (A) and the clip (B).

3. All Removed Parts - Install
1.
Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
NOTE: Install the evaporator temperature sensor (A) in the evaporator core, and note these items: Refer to the following position list.
New Evaporator Core: Set the sensor into the factory preset position.
Original Evaporator Core: Set the sensor into the new position because the fin may be deforming by the previous installation.

1. Evaporator Temperature Sensor - Test
1.
Dip the sensor in ice water, and measure the resistance between terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
2.
Then pour warm water on the sensor, and check for a change in resistance.
3.
Compare the resistance readings with the specifications shown in the graph; the resistance should be within the specifications.
4.
If the resistance is not as specified, replace the evaporator temperature sensor.
